Support Analyst (2002-2010):

  Worked in the Documentation department and later the Corporate Marketing department updating the company's Web site.  Updated the original Dewey Decimal site, the FirstSearch pages, the Careers listings, and the OCLC Library and Information Science site.
Currently working in the Customer Support Department as a Support Analyst supporting the OCLC ConnexionTM interfaces, CatExpress, the Label Program, FirstSearch and WorldCat Resource Sharing. 

 
Library Supervisor
(Capital University, 1999-2001, evenings):

Worked as evening supervisor of the main campus library four nights a week.  Primary duties involved answering all reference questions, overseeing a rotating staff of 14 student workers, and shutting down electrical systems and securing the building at closing time.


Public Services Librarian (The Ohio Supreme Court Law Library, 1993-1999):

Provided reference service at the second largest law library in Ohio. Alternated at six-month intervals between the circulation desk, the reference desk, and the government documents department.


Adult Services Supervisor (St. Clairsville Public Library, 1991-1992):

Supervised a public library reference department, young adult room, and the local history/genealogy collection. Handled most of the reference transactions and oversaw the answering of written genealogy requests. Also conducted class tours; selected books for outreach program; supervised three part-time assistants.


Business Research Analyst (Southern New England Telephone, 1990):

Oversaw the Market Research Center, located within the marketing department.  Cataloged and maintained in-house books and items purchased for the library.  Placed GPO book orders.  Prepared PageMaker-generated reports on internal rate pricing changes.


Assistant Editor

Wrote and edited feature articles on computer technology, micrographics, movable storage, and other office-related topics. Conducted interviews with company leaders for quoting in feature stories.
